This talk is about the rings whose elements are sums of an idempotent and a nilpotent (that commute) and the rings whose elements are sums of two (commuting) idempotents. We review various results on these topics. New progress and further development will be addressed.

报告人简介：

周毅强，加拿大纽芬兰纪念大学教授。伟德国际victor1946数学系首届研究生，加拿大哥伦比亚大学博士。主要从事环、模与线性代数研究。
